Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026. This policy applies to the Vessla mobile app, operated by Ehsanti AB (“we”, “us”).
Summary
Vessla lets you control your Tesla with your voice. We collect only what’s needed to do that: your account email, the Tesla data required to answer your questions and run your commands, and your voice commands. We don’t sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign you in (via our auth provider, Clerk).
- Tesla account & vehicle data: when you connect your Tesla, we store encrypted access tokens and read vehicle data to serve your requests — including battery and charge state, climate, doors/lock state, software/firmware, and, if you enable it, your vehicle’s location. We cache the latest readings to avoid waking your car unnecessarily.
- Voice & commands: speech is transcribed on your device; only the resulting text command is sent to our backend. To interpret it, the text (plus the relevant vehicle data above) is processed by our AI provider, Anthropic. Spoken replies are generated from the short reply text by our text-to-speech provider, OpenAI. We keep a log of commands and outcomes for reliability and abuse prevention.
- Subscription: purchase and entitlement status, via our payments provider (RevenueCat) and the App Store / Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Diagnostics: basic technical/error data to keep the app working, via Sentry (crash reports and console logs, without your IP address or user identifiers).
How we use it
To authenticate you, connect to your Tesla, interpret and carry out your requests, operate your subscription, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. Location and vehicle data are used only to answer your requests and run your commands.
Service providers (sub-processors)
We share data with providers strictly to deliver the service: Clerk (authentication), Convex (backend/database), Anthropic (AI command interpretation), OpenAI (text-to-speech for spoken replies), RevenueCat and Apple/Google (subscriptions), Sentry (diagnostics), and Tesla (vehicle API). On-device speech recognition may use your device’s platform provider (Apple, or Google on Android). We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app(Menu → Account → Delete account), which removes your profile, linked Tesla tokens, cached vehicle data, and command history. You can also disconnect Vessla from your car at any time in the Tesla app (Security & Drivers / Keys).
Security
Tesla tokens are encrypted at rest, and vehicle commands are signed. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Vessla is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
